Leo's West Bridgford celebrates 25 Years and raises over £500 for diabetes charity
Leo’s Day Nursery on Albert Road held a garden party on Saturday 16th July to celebrate 25 years in West Bridgford.
The day included fundraising for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), a charity that supports research into Type 1 Diabetes.
Leo’s is a family fun business, which prides itself on the warm, homely and comforting environment it provides for young children and their families.
The business opened in 1991 as the Greenwood Day Nursery.
The small nursery grew from what was originally a family home and has strived to maintain the ‘feel’ of a home-from-home environment, whilst providing a wealth of learning experiences and opportunities for child-led play!
Leo’s is open from 8am-6pm 50 weeks per year and offers funded places to 2,3 and 4 year olds.
Shaunna Handley was at the event with her children, Lenaye, 3 and Ti-Arnah, 5 who have both been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
Shaunna said, ‘It’s a great thing to raise funds for and everyone is supporting brilliantly’.
