Christmas time at Leo's
Over Christmas, Leo's Arnold and West Bridgford both had lots of exciting celebrations including nativities, singing for the elderly and two fabulous Christmas parties run by Bongo Beck.
Leo's Arnold started off the festivities with their annual Christmas light switch on, which I'm sure you can imagine had the whole of Arnold lining the streets to watch the three outdoor lights be switched on by Diane! The Children all came outside for the big event and this was a wonderful way to start the winter celebrations.
The following week, Lions at Arnold put on a FABULOUS production of Nursery Rhyme Nativity. They all sand their hearts out and we had some beautiful angels, stars, kings, shepherds and a wonderful Mary and Joseph (not forgetting Angie our brilliant narrator).
Pre-School at West Bridgford took a walk through West Bridgford town centre to visit an Elderly people's home. They sang tunes such as Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Away in an Manger and other classics. They even got asked to do an encore! All the children worked extremely hard and were practicing numerous times a day (much to the delight of the staff).
Both nurseries had a Christmas party run by Bongo Beck! This is wonderful - the children got a chance to sing, dance and most importantly meet the real life Santa Claus! He had a present for each child and even left his sleigh and the reindeer on the roof! They had a party tea after with lots of goodies!
Thank you to all of the staff, parents and children who worked so hard over the Christmas period to make it such a magical time! Here's to an even better one next year!
